Texas State Inspection Criteria

Lube ‘n Go uses Texas State certified testing equipment. The testing standards, requirements and pricing are set forth by the State of Texas. It is strictly against Texas state law for state inspectors to make exceptions to testing requirements and they may not pre-inspect. Each test is paid and is pass or fail. Must have proof of vehicle insurance to be inspected.

  • 3rdBrake Light/Center High Mounted Stop Lamp
  • Motor, Serial or Vehicle ID Number
  • Brakes (system and parking brake)
  • Tires (tread depth & lug nuts)
  • Exhaust system
  • Exhaust emission system & codes
  • Gas Caps on Vehicles 2-24 model years old
  • Window Tint– Must be greater than 25%

The State of Texas allows a re-inspection of vehicles that failed to pass within 15 days at no cost.
